Straight answers to the questions San Antonio pool owners actually ask. No fluff, no upsell.
Most weekly plans run $200 to $300 per month. Ours starts at $230/month, which covers skimming, vacuuming, brushing, chemical balancing, and an equipment check on every visit. Your exact price depends on pool size and equipment. All standard chemicals used during visits are included.
Typically $300 to $800 in San Antonio, depending on severity, debris load, filter condition, and whether any equipment needs repair. Most green pools are swim-ready within 3 to 7 days. You approve the price before we start. See our green pool cleanup page for the full process.
Pool equipment is specialized hardware, and the part is often most of the cost. We show parts and labor as separate line items so you see exactly what you are paying for, and we quote repair versus replacement when it is a close call so you can make the call.
San Antonio heat and UV burn through chlorine fast, so a gap in chemical care becomes algae within days. High stabilizer (CYA) can also make chlorine ineffective even when test strips show chlorine present. Consistent weekly chemistry, proper pump run times, and managed stabilizer levels are the fix.
Weekly. The heat makes bi-weekly service risky in summer: chlorine drops, pH drifts, and algae gets a foothold between visits. Weekly service keeps chemistry in range all month and turns every visit into an equipment check.
Skimming, vacuuming, brushing walls/steps/tile, emptying baskets, testing and balancing chlorine/pH/alkalinity/stabilizer, checking equipment, and reporting issues with photos. See the full breakdown on our weekly pool cleaning page.
Salt is popular here: softer-feeling water, no chlorine jugs, steadier sanitation through hot months. But salt pools still need weekly service for cell checks, pH control (salt pools run high pH), and salt management. The cell needs replacement every 3 to 5 years. Chlorine pools cost less upfront and work fine with consistent care. We service both.
Yes. A conversion installs a salt cell and control panel, adds salt, and dials in output for your pool size and sun exposure. See equipment installation for details.
Cartridge filters: every 4 to 6 weeks, more often in heavy debris season. Sand filters: backwash when pressure rises 8 to 10 psi above clean pressure. DE filters: backwash and recharge on a similar schedule. Weekly service includes pressure monitoring and cleaning or backwashing as needed.
San Antonio pools evaporate, but more than a quarter inch a day is usually a leak. A bucket test confirms it. We pinpoint leaks by testing lines, skimmers, and returns before any digging. See pool repair.
Young equipment with a small failure: repair. Old single-speed pump with a dead motor: replace with a variable-speed model and cut your electric bill. We quote both when it is close and you decide.
Yes. Texas pools run pumps long hours, so efficiency pays. A variable-speed pump at low speed uses far less electricity than a single-speed pump, and the savings often pay for the pump within a couple of seasons.
No. Gate access is all we need. You get a report with photos after every visit.
Yes. Apartment pools, HOA community pools, and short-term rental pools, with scheduled visits and photo documentation after every service.
Not much. Most pools run year-round here with weekly service. We adjust chemistry for cooler water and set freeze protection on automation systems. During hard freezes, pumps run continuously to protect plumbing. We handle that for you.
Yes. No contracts you cannot leave. Pause for vacation or winter, cancel any time.
